This week was literacy week. To celebrate the week, we decorated the door with a poetry anthology comprised of the favourite poems we have written so far. Over the past month, we have written acrostic poems, alliteration, diamante, free verse and haikus. Many of us have decided to create our own individual poetry anthologies as well. We look forward to sharing them with you next week in preparation for the Three Way Conferences.
Yesterday we dressed up as our favourite book character and voted on our favourite costume for Grade 4. It was very close, but the award went to.... (drum roll please).... Daichi! Congratulations to everyone who participated. There were many creative costumes. Next week we will celebrate International Math Day on March 4th by creating our own Math problems, puzzles or games and with a Live Mathletics competition. We will also be learning about transformations, rotations and reflections. As next week is also our Three Way Conferences, there will be no ECAs next week.
